Dr Carolyn Russell
Paediatric Surgeon
BSc(Hons) MBBS(Hons) FRACS
Carolyn is a paediatric surgeon who trained at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne prior to completing her training at the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick.
Following a fellowship year in Sydney, Carolyn spent time travelling in Europe, meeting with prominent surgeons to learn techniques in her areas of interest, chest wall surgery and thoracic surgery.
Carolyn provides general paediatric surgery services for Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and for Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. She also performs surgical consultations, newborn circumcision and assessment of tongue tie at the rooms in Gymea and Randwick.
Carolyn is a member of RACS, ANZAPS and CWIG.
Carolyn has a special interest in education of trainee surgeons and she’s a supervisor of paediatric surgical training at the Sydney Children’s Hospital.
Carolyn is married and has four young children. She enjoys keeping fit, skiing and spending time with her family.
